Most tire and wheel issues that only produce vibration in cars and trucks at speeds greater than 50 mph cannot be detected or identified using conventional tire balancers. Even road force balancers are RPM-limited, and therefore incapable of detecting the problems which only occur at much higher speeds.

NVH Auto is a wireless rotating multi-axis device capable of both dynamic (rotating) and static (non-rotating) data collection and analysis. Attaching to any tire or wheel assembly in seconds, multiple Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors are sampled at extremely high data rates while the vehicle is in motion.

Proprietary sensor-fusion algorithms are then used to identify the excitation component that creates virtually any type of vehicle vibration, including change in tire shape under high-speed rotation and high-speed changes in wheel alignment angles. Once the problem has been identified, NVH Auto provides a solution that is simply implemented, all without removing the wheel assembly from the vehicle.
